Programme Manager - Transformation Programme
Location: North Nottinghamshire/Hybrid
Salary: up to £63k plus 25 percent pension, 28 days annual leave, hybrid working, subsidised gym and more!

Are you a skilled Programme Manager with a proven track record of delivering transformational change? Join my client as a Programme Manager and lead their Fit for the Future (FFTF) programme. This pivotal role will shape the organisation's future by delivering process, technical, and cultural improvements that align with our strategic objectives.

Main Purpose of the Job:

  • Lead the effective delivery of the FFTF transformational programme, ensuring success in process, technical, and cultural change.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and functional teams to understand challenges and use insights to shape the programme approach.
  • Ensure the programme team is in place, driving successful implementation and supporting the business to embed change and realise benefits.
  • Work with stakeholders across the Authority to ensure the programme delivers on the strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the FFTF programme to achieve its objectives, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and quality delivery.
  • Work with resource managers to ensure sufficient capacity, technical skills, and continuous improvement in delivery.
  • Oversee programme planning, including financial management and reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for cost-efficient delivery, minimising public expenditure.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to align project progress with overall programme delivery.
  • Work closely with the Digital Programme Manager to manage dependencies and resources.
  • Lead the programme using Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including Heads of Departments, to ensure programme success.

Professional Competencies and Qualifications:

  • APM Level C competency or higher, with a commitment to continued professional development.
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience.
  • APMP/AMP PMQ, MSP Practitioner, or PRINCE2 Practitioner qualifications.
  • Membership of APM/PMI and experience with MoR, MoV, or related best practice models.
  • Experience delivering medium to large projects/programmes with significant complexity and variety.
  • Strong knowledge of Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
  • Experience in managing a variety of projects, including Business Change, IT/Technology, Procurement, and Innovation.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to manage complex projects and programmes effectively.
  • Deep understanding of project management principles, tools, and techniques.
  • Skilled in engaging, influencing, and communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in critical thinking, problem-solving, planning, and organisation.
  • Strong leadership in driving teamwork, delegation, and managing conflict.
  • Highly skilled in MS Office, MS Project, and other portfolio and risk management tools.
