Programme Manager/Portfolio Manager - Strong budget Control, Strong Governance, Strong Influencing/Negotiating skills. Someone who has set up a Digital Portfolio!

My Construction & Engineering client seeks a dynamic, astute and seasoned professional Programme Manager/Portfolio Manager with many years experience.

This particular role will suit a Portfolio Manager/Programme Manager who can deal with ambiguity as nothing at this stage is defined. Therefore this is a PORTFOLIO DISCOVERY ROLE, as the Portfolio Programme is at Discovery stage.

The ideal Programme Manager/Portfolio Manager will have all the following:

  • Excellent budgeting of approx. £5m+ projects/programmes
  • Cost & Benefit & articulating the benefits of investment
  • Have strong Lean budgeting skills
  • Set up of a Digital Portfolio
  • Strong Governance as well as Strong Governance around Steering Committee (Steerco)
  • Facilitate quick decisions - timely decision making
  • Be able to quickly prioritise & sequence
  • Excellent stakeholder Engagement
  • Excellent Influencer & Negotiator

The ideal Portfolio Manager/Programme Manager candidate will be shaping Digital Programmes and has effectively 3 main tasks at hand:

1. Set up a digital portfolio to shape digital programmes and have excellent process skills, excellent stakeholder engagement skills and have excellent influencing/negotiation skills for Governance and Steerco purposes.

2. Decide what the companys leaders need to do and prioritise portfolios to enable best investment and scale up effectively.

3. Software Technology Portfolio to help with the client facing needs. Ideally Front Office, Construction Software & understanding how requirements are gathered for business as well as find technical solutions for business processes.
