Job Description

We are looking for a Project Commercial Director to join our Infrastructure team on the Lower Thames Crossing project in Kent.
What you'll do:
- Develop individuals and teams to their full potential ensuring that we have the capability and capacity to maintain commercial, procurement and risk control on the project to meet future needs.
- Ensure that all the staff receive training appropriate to their roles and understand requirements of the Procedures and of management systems.
- Ensure compliance with commercial management systems.
- Report on Projects financial position against budget and other financial targets and associated risk profile.
- Proactively manage commercial position on projects to outperform targets.
- Provide commercial advice and management for the management of change on the project.
- Liaise with Skanska Legal Department on all matters associated with contract agreement and change post award.
- Liaise with departments including legal to manage formal dispute resolution process and ensure any significant claims are managed in accordance with company procedures.
- Implement best practice in commercial procedures to ensure the effective management of the contract.
- Ensure compliance with the company's policies, procedures, the Skanska Code of Conduct and any issues relating to Health, Safety and the Environment.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Experience in bidding, contractual understanding, commercial management, budgetary control in a large infrastructure project environment.
- Excellent relationship management and networking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive internal and external relationships at all levels.
- Proven ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Team leadership and people development experience.
