Psychiatry, Inpatient ST4

Doctors Direct have great opportunities for ST4 Doctors with Psychiatry inpatient experience to work at in North London Mental Health Trust to fill ad hoc/part time shifts .

You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with mental health disorders. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support for individuals admitted to psychiatric hospital.

Your job description includes various responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of newly admitted patients.
Perform mental status examinations and gather relevant patient history.
Identify and diagnose various mental health disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in consultation with senior psychiatrists.
Prescribe and monitor the effectiveness of psychiatric medications.
Provide psychotherapeutic interventions, including supportive therapy and crisis intervention.
Regularly review and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.
Conduct follow-up assessments and manage any side effects of medications.
Coordinate with other healthcare providers for integrated care.
Respond to psychiatric emergencies, providing immediate assessment and intervention.
Develop safety plans and manage patients at risk of harm to themselves or others.

Specialty: Psychiatry - ST4
Locations: Edgware(we also have inpatient/community shifts atBarnet, Enfield & Haringey/Camden)
Start date: ASAP-ongoing, no end date yet.
Days per week: Monday-Friday (one/two/three days per week available)
Shift pattern : 9:00-17:00.
Pay rate : £59+ per hour (depending on experience).
Payment method: PAYE we do NOT facilitate payment through LTD/umbrella companies.

The minimum requirements for the role are:
Valid GMC.
Right to work in the UK.
Clinical attachment complete.
Minimum 3 months paid UK experience.
AC Status essential.
S12 desirable.
