Michael Page are searching for a proactive and detail-driven Purchase Ledger Manager to join a global industrial business based new The Wirral with a strong market presence. You'll oversee the purchase ledger function, drive process improvements, and lead a small team to success.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Purchase Ledger Supervisor include;

    Oversee the entire purchase ledger function, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing invoices and paymentsManage, mentor, and support a small team, ensuring high performance and professional developmentMaintain strong relationships with suppliers, handling queries and resolving discrepancies in a timely mannerEnsure all supplier payments are processed in line with company policies and agreed termsPerform regular reconciliations of supplier statements and investigate any discrepanciesDrive process improvements within the purchase ledger function to enhance efficiency and accuracyWork closely with the wider finance team to support month-end and year-end closing processesEnsure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and regulatory requirementsProvide reports and analysis on accounts payable performance and cash flow forecastingCollaborate with procurement and operational teams to streamline invoice and payment processes

Profile

The successful Purchase Ledger Supervisor should have:

  • Proven experience in purchase ledger/accounts payable management
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, or international business is a plus
  • Confident communicator, able to build strong supplier and stakeholder relationships
