Our client, an innovative global trading company with a dynamic Next-Gen UI platform is seeking an experienced Python Engineer in London.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and enhance our developer productivity platform.
• Develop software solutions that empower product teams to deliver features rapidly and reliably.
• Ensure platform performance, security, and stability through robust testing and observability.
• Design and implement APIs and web services to enhance platform functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to platform operations.
• Drive innovation by evaluating and integrating new technologies into the platform.
• Contribute to platform documentation, including architecture, APIs, and best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotations to address urgent platform challenges effectively.

Key Skills:

• 3+ years in software development with a focus on platform engineering.
• 2+ years designing, building, deploying, and automating infrastructure using infrastructure as code (eg, CloudFormation, Terraform)
• Proficiency in Python or Go, with a deep understanding of coding best practices.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency with Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Real-world experience with CI/CD systems (eg, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in Agile teams.
