Job Title: Vacancy for a Salaried GP 4 - 8 sessions per week
Responsible to: The GP Partners and Practice Manager
Responsible for: Provision of medical care for patients at the Glebe Surgery
Job Summary
This is a great opportunity to be a part of a rapidly expanding semi-rural practice, supported by a friendly and committed team.

Main Duties of the JobJob Description
- To see patients in accordance with the normal pattern of working at the Glebe Surgery, which operates a list-based system, and to undertake home visits and telephone consultations, as well as an equitable share of duty doctor days and also to provide an equitable share of extended access appointments when required.
- To record consultations and patient contacts in a timely and accurate manner on the practice computer system.
- To regularly monitor results received electronically and act upon them as appropriate.
- To read incoming mail relating to patients and act upon this in an appropriate and timely manner.
- To initiate referral letters in a timely and appropriate manner.
- To deal with patient notes, messages and administrative matters as required.
- To undertake reports, Cremation forms and other administrative duties, as required.
- To process prescriptions daily, as required.
- To liaise with members of the Practice team to ensure patient care and satisfactory administration of the Practice.
- To liaise with the Practice Manager in relation to ongoing administrative matters, holidays, absences and other matters related to the smooth running and organisation of the Practice.

The Glebe Surgery is a new state-of-the-art building set in beautiful surroundings at the foot of the South Downs National Park.
There are many opportunities for outdoor activities, while remaining close to more developed areas, such as Brighton. There are also easy transport links to London by road and rail.

- To undertake tasks related to QOF, and liaise as necessary with the Practice team in order to fulfil these tasks.
- To attend Practice, Clinical, In-House training and administrative meetings wherever possible.
- If appropriate, to undertake specific tasks and/or clinics by arrangement (e.g. minor surgery, cryo-surgery, IUCD and implant insertion or removal, joint and hormonal injections).
- To undertake any reasonable task as necessary to the efficiency of running the Practice.
- This list is not exhaustive, but covers the main tasks associated with the role of a Salaried GP.
- Essential Qualifications
- Already qualified as a General Practitioner.
- Registered GP with the GMC.
- Must possess the right to work in the UK and be on the NHS Performers List.
- Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to provide quality care.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience of working in Primary Care.
- Basic IT skills.
- Knowledge of SystemOne medical system.
