Salesforce QA Lead (m/f/d)

As a Salestech QA Lead at IU, you will play a pivotal role in leading the QA > Automation efforts across the Salestech cluster. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering/Head of Quality Engineering, your primary focus is implementing automation and being an SME of QA, harnessing your advanced technical expertise to enhance the effectiveness of the team and acting as a consultant in your team, using your advanced domain knowledge to problem-solve. The role will involve close collaboration with Product Owners, Engineering managers, and DevOps.

A significant part of your role will be fostering a culture of technical mentorship, conducting comprehensive code reviews of automation frameworks, and maintaining robust quality frameworks. Aligned with IU's customer-centric approach, you play a critical role in delivering maximum business value to our customers, driving continuous experimentation and learning within the team. Working with the Head of Engineering in your cluster and the Head of Quality Engineering, you ensure the team's technical policies align with our broader technology strategy.

Your tasks
Implementing frameworks for functional, performance, API testing to drive 100% automation testing across the Orgtech cluster with oversight from Core engineering. - Using your domain knowledge to be an SME, providing technical oversight and assisting Head of Engineering with fundamental decision making.
Establishing continuous testing and quality improvement, taking ownership of testing in your cluster.
Being the sole QA lead in your cluster, you will work with software engineers who will help you implement tests as part of the Definition of Done.
Lead efforts to identify, prioritise, and track software defects, working closely with product management and engineering teams to drive resolution.
Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure end-to-end quality across the software development lifecycle.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in QA and testing, and drive continuous improvement in QA processes and tools.
Working with Core engineering team to improve tooling and processes across all clusters.
Experience in RCA, ensuring learning from failure are put into practice and not repeated.
Advocate for a strong quality culture within IU, promoting a mindset of quality ownership and continuous improvement.
Educate and train engineers on best practices in QA and testing and foster a culture of quality throughout the development process, pushing a shift left mentality.

Your Profile
You possess Salesforce product knowledge, including Salesforce certification.
You have extensive experience building and maintaining reusable frameworks for Salesforce using Playwright.
Your background includes extensive experience building and maintaining reusable frameworks for API contract testing with PACT or API testing with Playwright.
You have a proven track record of driving quality in software products.
You possess a strong understanding of QA methodologies, frameworks, and best practices, with experience in driving automation testing.
Your expertise includes knowledge of the software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD processes.
You have experience implementing and managing QA tools and technologies.
As a strong leader, you have the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
You communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
You are results-oriented, with a focus on delivering high-quality software products.
Your strong problem-solving and decision-making skills set you apart.
You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience with quality assurance in cloud-based environments is a plus for you.
You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
