SC Cleared Senior Data Analyst

On behalf of the Cabinet Office, we are looking for a SC Cleared Senior Data Analyst for a 5 month contract based London - Hybrid working.

The Data Analyst Senior will provide data analysis support to help ensure a data driven approach to monitoring the Government Cyber Security Strategy (GCSS).

The role requires an experienced Data Analyst or Data Scientist to develop the data architecture for the GCSS monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) system. The Data Analyst Senior will work closely with the GCSS Head of Monitoring and Evaluation and the Benefits Manager to develop data processing and analytical tools, including a Powerbi Dashboard, a GCSS reporting template using the Government Reporting Integration Platform (GRIP) and a knowledge management solution for the GCSS outcome profiles.

As a Data Analyst your main responsibilities will be:
. GCSS Powerbi Dashboard - work with the GovAssure data team to turn the GCSS monitoring product into a Powerbi Dashboard that automatically updates when new GovAssure returns are submitted

. GCSS reporting template - work with the Benefits Manager and Cabinet Office central performance team to develop a GCSS reporting template in GRIP. The reporting template should include new indicators developed in consultation with owners

. GovAssure supplementary questions - embed departmental indicator questions into the GovAssure supplementary questions process in order to collect data from departments to feed into the outcome indicators

. Outcome profiles - work with the Benefits Manager to develop a user-friendly and automated knowledge management solution to capture, store and update the outcome profiles.

. GCSS reporting - building on the reporting template, design and implement a six monthly reporting process for GCSS outcome owners. This will include: communication to outcome owners on the commission, technical support to outcome owners to complete the commission, working with the GRIP team to get the data into the right format, and feeding the data into the GCSS Powerbi Dashboard.

Essential:
. Experience of developing data analytics platforms/solutions
. Experience of using Business Intelligence and analytics software such as MS Powerbi or Tableau
. Experience of developing data collection tools such as reporting templates or online surveys
. Experience of working with metrics or key performance indicators
. Experience of or interest in cyber security and/or technology more widely

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks
