We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join an amazing team at a school in Derbyshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching A-level classes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science education and a commitment to inspiring students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality science lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
- Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements.
- Uphold the school's policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and health and safety.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching science at the secondary school level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- A day rate of up to £200 per day in addition to holiday pay
