They are looking to recruit a temporary Senior Accounts Assistant to help out at their busiest time for a 4-month period. This role will be full-time, but they have fully flexible hours to accommodate schedules - the hours are from 8am-5pm Mon-Thurs with an early 12 pm finish on a Friday!

Your new role
Within your new role, you will have the responsibility of supporting the finance team with month-end closing activities, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported. You will assist with the preparation of budgets, monitor actual spend against budget, and help forecast future financial performance to aid in strategic planning. Conduct detailed analysis of overhead costs, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, including acquisition, depreciation, and disposal, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. Handle import and export documentation and processes, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations (training provided). As well as this, you will support with cash flow, posting journals, VAT returns and perform regular balance sheet reconciliations.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, being AAT qualified is desirable, but having previous experience within a similar role will be considerable. This company is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can work independently and take initiative. You should have a keen eye for detail and enjoy working in a dynamic environment. Your ability to identify and rectify discrepancies independently will be crucial in maintaining the financial integrity of their operations.
