Senior Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Office Based Up to £32K

A reputable company located in Bolton is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger to become a permanent, full-time member of their team. With a current financial turnover exceeding £100 million, this organisation has experienced significant growth, doubling in size over recent years. They have ambitious plans to double their turnover again within the next 3-5 years. This is a thrilling opportunity to join a dynamic and stable business, where many employees have been with the company for over 5 years.
Your new role
As a Senior Accounts Assistant, you will primarily work within the purchase ledger team, handling the processing of purchase invoices. Your responsibilities will include verifying costs for approval and managing interactions with both internal and external suppliers. Additionally, you will approve invoices using their bespoke system, process payments through the accounts system, Bankline, and Excel spreadsheets. You will also be involved in monthly and year-end supplier statement reconciliations and reporting. Furthermore, you will analyse processes and provide recommendations for improvements where possible.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have recent experience as a Senior Accounts Assistant or in purchase ledger, confidently maintaining daily invoice processing routines with minimal supervision. With strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise your work, you have a friendly, team-oriented manner and a positive approach. Additionally, you are adept at problem-solving and can handle multiple tasks efficiently, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all your work. Your proactive attitude and willingness to support your colleagues make you a valuable asset to any team.
