About the Role:
We're hiring a Senior Business Development Manager to join our Manchester team. This is a senior-level role, responsible for leading strategic business development efforts and securing high-value partnerships with innovative UK businesses. You'll be hands-on in managing your pipeline, influencing commercial direction, and acting as a mentor to junior team members. Your focus will be on driving growth, representing CBTax in the market, and helping scale our client base through insight-led, consultative sales.
In this Role, You'll:
- Own and manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals
- Build and nurture relationships with businesses across the UK
- Identify new sectors, partnerships, and commercial channels to accelerate growth
- Collaborate with our marketing and technical delivery teams to ensure a best-in-class client experience
- Represent CBTax at industry events and networking opportunities
- Mentor junior BDMs and support their development through coaching and knowledge sharing
- Provide commercial insights and contribute to business planning
We're Seeking Someone with Experience Including:
- 3+ years in B2B sales or business development, ideally in professional services, R&D tax, or financial consulting
- A proven ability to close high-value deals, with confidence in engaging at senior levels
- Strong commercial acumen and a strategic approach to growth
- Experience building and managing pipelines using CRM platforms (ideally Salesforce)
- A track record of exceeding targets and contributing to broader team success
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior colleagues is a bonus
