Senior Data Analyst (for our client)

Position: Data Analyst (Power BI & DAX Expert)

We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst with strong expertise in Power BI and DAX. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in transforming operational data into analytical models, enhancing the data literacy of team members, and contributing to the conceptualization of the data architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide effective solutions.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to generate meaningful insights.
• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support data-driven decision-making.
• Ensure high data quality and integrity through continuous verification and validation.
• Advocate for data analytics within the department by initiating awareness programs.
• Develop and implement analytical models using operational data.
• Mentor and support one or two P&O colleagues in the field of data analytics.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of the conceptual data architecture.
• Leverage AI solutions to enhance Power BI dashboard sophistication and insights.

Job Details:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension depending on project progress)
• Location: Brussels city center

Required Skills & Experience:

• Senior-level expertise in data analysis and Power BI.
• Strong understanding of data analytics and visualization methodologies.
• Sharp analytical and critical thinking skills for interpreting complex information.

Preferred Experience:

• Background in the insurance or financial industry.

Technical Requirements:

Mandatory:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
• Expert-level knowledge of Power BI, including report creation, dashboard development, and advanced functionalities like Power Query and DAX.
• Strong skills in data analysis, anomaly detection, and categorization.
• Experience in data modeling for efficient structuring and establishing relationships between datasets.
• Mastery of data visualization techniques for clear and impactful data representation.

Preferred:

• Experience with Python.
• Familiarity with Copilot M365.
• Knowledge of time series modeling techniques such as ARIMA for predictive analytics in Power BI.
• Exposure to Azure Cognitive Services.
