The Role - Senior Data Scientist - Pricing and Revenue Management

What you'll be doing:

As part of the Commercial organisation, The Trading, Pricing and Revenue Management department is responsible for pricing more than 100 million tickets and ancillary products annually. The department creates market analyses and forecasts, which drive our pricing decisions.

The primary role is to develop, test, and operate easyJet's pricing systems and algorithms using SQL, Python, data analysis, and statistics to maximize revenue.

This position collaborates closely with our commercial and IT departments.

You will:

1. Design and develop methodology, algorithmic pricing actions and tests
2. Carry out revenue management research and forecasting & demand modelling
3. Analyse and present results to subject matter experts
4. Liaise with stakeholders in Commercial, IT and Operations to present results to subject matter experts and explore ideas and solutions

What you will need to do the role:

Experience in pricing/revenue management forecasting, inventory management is essential and will ideally have been gained in airline, hotel, car rental, e-commerce businesses.

MSC/Ph.D. in statistics, data science, econometrics, quantitative economics, operations research.

We work with Python and SQL and we would require you to have a minimum of 5 years' experience with applied statistical modelling with R, Python, Julia, SAS, Stata SPSS, JMP, Minitab or other software and experience in C is an advantage.

This position would suit someone that enjoys the challenge of a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment. You will also strive for continuous improvement and learning.

Location & Hours of Work

These are full-time positions and we typically get together 2-3 times a week.
