Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Delivery Manager to join our amazing team.

Location: Gilwell Park, Chingford, London - (successful candidate to attend the office 1-2 times per month with the rest of the time being remote working)

Salary: £69,500 per annum Band H, Level 3 (Inclusive of Market Supplement and Outer London Weighting)

Term: Permanent

Working Hours: 35 hours per week

About the Senior Delivery Manager Role:

It's an exciting time at The Scouts. Our digital transformation programme is an ambitious part of our Skills for Life strategy which aims to enable Scouts to become a digital first organisation.

As a Senior Delivery Manager you will play a critical part in this transformation as our core infrastructure is being upgraded, existing products enhanced and new systems and platforms are being rolled out to meet strategic objectives. You will be delivery and results focussed, passionate about digital, technology and achieving great outcomes for our users. ?

You will manage a team of Delivery Managers, oversee a variety of Digital and Technology projects and ensure all phases of the projects are executed to the highest quality, putting the user at the heart of the product. You will bring diverse stakeholders together to work towards a common goal which will deliver fundamental change in our movement. You will apply your analytical skills to identify opportunities and gaps and come up with innovative solutions and enjoy working in a cross-functional and multi-disciplinary environment, and the challenges that this can bring.

What we are looking for in our Senior Delivery Manager:

  • Ability to apply project management methodologies (eg Prince 2, ITIL, Agile etc) in a flexible manner appropriate to complex change programmes and projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills and relationship management, including proven ability to engage senior management and stakeholders
  • Excellent supplier management skills with the ability to gain the best value and adherence to agreed delivery deadlines
  • Persuasion and negotiating skills
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and demonstrate flexibility
