YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain embedded software for a wireless intercom system
- Autonomously plan, design, implement, and test components for the embedded software and the Linux operating system
- Demonstrate ownership of dedicated areas of the system's software architecture
- Participate in sprint planning and cross-functional company initiatives that foster collaboration.
- Level-up the team through code reviews and by creating reference code.
- Mentor and grow junior developers through paired coding and being a resource.
- Conduct code reviews and make technical contributions to product architecture as well as getting involved in solving bugs and delivering small features.
- Generate and implement process improvements.
- Improve product quality, security, and performance.
- Engage with business and technology requirements in design & development
THAT'S YOU
- University degree in a technical discipline preferably in computer engineering and/or electronics
- Experience in embedded software development
- Very good knowledge of C++ including STL and objected oriented software design. Experiences in test driven development (TDD) is an advantage.
- Experiences with Linux and tools such as git, Jira, Confluence
- Experience in agile software development methodology
- Good knowledge about standard Internet protocols is a plus
- The candidate is expected to be self-driven, with strong problem-solving skills, and is committed to developing high quality software
- Passionate about programming and all aspects of software engineering
- Pro-active team player who works on own initiative, result orientated, asking and giving assistance to other team-members
- Good communicator with the ability to cross-domain thinking and willingness to collaborate closely with other company functions (engineering, management, customers, manufacturing)
- Fluent in English (spoken and written), German is a plus
