Senior Estimator (Civils)

We're looking for aSenior Estimator to join our NaturalResources Team, with a focus on Civils you'll cover estimatingduties on our new WessexWater framework.
Location: With remoteworking, you'll also be able to travel to client sites and officesacross the Wessex Water contract, whichcovers Bristol to to Bournemouth. Your mainoffice location will be Exeter which you will be required to visiton a regular basis.
Contract: Permanent, FullTime - flexible and part time hours may be available if desired,just let us know
Responsibilities
As a Civils Senior Estimatoryou'll work closely with other members of ourframework delivery team and the Client, to deliver value for moneysolutions for the Civils elements of work in line with frameworkrequirements.
Your day to day willinclude:
- Input into all aspects ofthe pre-construction phase of projects, including early contractorinvolvement and carrying out pre-work prior to tendersarriving.
- Preparing multi-discipline tenderpricing with the ability to produce differing levels of pricing,from top-down budgets to bottom-up lump sums or targets.
- Read and understand client specifications and drawingswhilst considering site safety, health, quality and environmentalissues.
- Attend internal and external reviewand progress meetings as well as site visits/meetings.
- Ascertain preliminary and detailed project requirementsand solutions, including programmes and value engineeringsolutions, with identification of risk andopportunities.
What are we lookingfor?
ThisSenior Estimator is great for you ifyou have:
- Aproven track record of successfully delivering tenders/pricing ofvarying size/complexity in the water industry and an ability tomanage a portfolio of projects in a frameworkenvironment.
- Experience of thepre-construction phase of projects to quickly identify risks andopportunities.
- Excellent organisational andplanning skills with a good understanding of clients requirementsand general commercial awareness.
- Haveexperience of working on construction projects, preferably in thewater industry with good knowledge and experience of the processesand mechanical and electrical assets used within the WaterIndustry.
