Senior Finance Administrator

Contract initially until 31/01/2025

Hybrid working - 3 days per week in the office, 2 days remote

Watford

£14.36 per hour PAYE

Our client, a global retailer, is looking for an experienced SFA to join their team on an initial contract basis.

Role Summary

  • To ensure that all invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner following company's process and guidelines, any queries are promptly dealt with and resolved. The role requires constant liaising with other stakeholders both external and internal eg: Buyers, Vendors, tax team etc via phone and email. Assisting with any administrative tasks ensuring smooth running of the department

Responsibilities

  • Making sure that received invoices match requirements before they are entered to the system eg the invoice bears Purchase Order number, has been raised to correct buying entity and in correct currency, the Vat element on the invoice is correct, any additional charges on the invoice have been agreed with buying department, the invoice bears all legally required information depending on the buying entity it was raised to etc.
  • Meeting a daily target of 325 invoices processed per associate per day
  • Ensuring all incoming invoices are entered within 72hrs from receipt to ensure that they are paid in accordance with payment terms and Service Level Agreement
  • Maintaining low level of errors (under 1%)
  • Dealing with and resolving arisen queries promptly
  • Maintaining communication with relevant stakeholders eg Buyers, Vendors, tax team etc via phone and email
  • Assisting with any administrative tasks ensuring smooth running of the department eg managing invoice processing inbox, archiving processed invoices, helping other departments etc.
Key Skills, knowledge & Experience
  • Experience of a high volume Accounts Payable Department
  • Self-motivated and works on own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate and influence internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to work under pressure/meet the targets without compromising on key areas
  • Team player
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing environment
