Job Description

The Senior Financial Director is responsible for leading the financial strategy and operations of the company within Sinclair. This UK-based role involves overseeing all financial activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the company's growth and profitability. The Finance Director will provide strategic financial insights, manage financial risks, and lead the finance team to achieve the company's financial objectives.

Description • The candidate must have a strong background in all areas of accounting, tax management, and consolidation reporting to ensure accurate financial oversight and compliance.
10+ Years of Working Experience:
Knowledge of Transfer Pricing and Global Recharge System:
• In-depth understanding of transfer pricing and the mechanics of global recharge systems to manage intercompany transactions effectively and ensure compliance with international tax laws.

Proficiency with ERP Systems:
• The candidate should be proficient in using ERP systems such as SAP, OneStream. To be able to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy and Planning:
• Develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's business objectives.
• Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) efforts to provide actionable insights to the executive team.
• Conduct financial modelling and scenario analysis to inform strategic decisions.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Oversee the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget performance and analyse variances to ensure financial targets are met.
• Work with department heads to align budgetary planning with operational goals.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Oversee statutory reporting and compliance with UK regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
Operational Finance:
• Manage day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Enhance financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Taxation and Treasury:
• Oversee tax planning and compliance to ensure efficient tax management and adherence to UK tax laws.
• Manage treasury functions including cash flow management, banking relationships, and investment strategies.
• Develop and implement policies for liquidity management and financial risk mitigation.
Risk Management:
• Identify and manage financial risks, including currency, interest rate, and credit risks.
• Develop risk management strategies and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Implement risk assessment procedures and maintain a robust risk management framework.
Leadership and Team Development:
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to build a high-performing finance function.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
• Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional initiatives and business objectives
