Harnham is excited to bring you an opportunity to partner with a globally leading technology company specialising in R&D! You will be joining a department specialising in their gaming ecosystem and supporting the tech company and video game partners to optimise their products on their platforms!

THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Senior Game Optimisation Engineer, you will be:

• Developing plugins, Android APIs and demos to support and improve the performance of video games on their platforms
• Work closely with game companies and provide them with actionable insights on how to better optimise their games for the client's devices
• Study how to improve the performance of apps on their platforms, particularly focusing on CPUs.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEThe successful applicant will have the following:

• A degree in a related field such as a STEM subject.
• Experience in game engine optimisation, particularly Unity, Unreal Engine or similar
• A background in supporting game or tech companies with video game optimisation
• Strong modern C++ skills
• Experience working with Android development (Perfetto, ADB, Gradle)
• Java and/or C# would be a bonus!

THE BENEFITSOnce placed you can expect the following:

• £400-£550 per day
• Inside IR35
• 6 month initial contract with extensions very likely
• 3 days per week in their Surrey office
• Opportunity to travel the world for 2 weeks at a time to destinations in Europe, North America and Asia
• Opportunity to attend industry events overseas
