Senior Network Engineer

On behalf of FCDO we are looking for a Senior Network Engineer (Outside IR35) for a 5 month contract (until 31/03/25). Hybrid working based in Milton Keynes.

As a Senior Network Engineer your main responsibilities will be:

. Assessing Legacy LAN and NextGen LAN designs.
. Creating new NextGen LAN designs.
. Generating base NextGen LAN configurations.
. Provide details for operational changes to NextGen LAN environment.
. Remote monitoring and support of operational changes on both Legacy and NextGen LAN.
. Creating work packages for transition from Legacy to NextGen LAN.
. Apply base configurations/harden configurations to NextGen LAN template.
. Support deployment engineers at posts overseas.
. Collaborate with engineers to make sure systems are practically designed.
. Troubleshoot and identify problems across different technology capabilities.

Essential:

. An active SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role.
. Have a detailed understanding of most of the following network technologies: LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, data-centre LAN, SD networks, telephony, mobile solutions infrastructure, unified comms, network management solutions, network-specific security and remote access technologies and approaches.
. Cisco Catalyst experience.
. TACACS utilisation experience.
