What You'll Be Doing:

You'll collaborate with the industry's best, working in the UK's largest service engineering firm with a range of specialist groups.

As a Building Physics Senior/Principal Consultant, you will play a crucial role in helping design energy-efficient buildings by delivering complex simulations.

  • Provide technical leadership in your area of expertise.
  • Provide project leadership and support the operations of the team.
  • Have excellent organisational skills and capable of prioritising tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and able to take responsibility.
  • Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Undertake research and development.
  • Have the opportunity for involvement in national design commissions and influential industry bodies.

What We Are Looking For:

You will be expected to perform at a senior or principal level and be competent in most of the following fields:

  • Indoor CFD modelling for thermal comfort and design optimisation of mechanical ventilation systems.
  • Wind Microclimate modelling and external Thermal Comfort studies.
  • Odour and chemical pollution dispersion analysis.
  • Dynamic Thermal Modelling (e.g., IES, TAS, etc.).
  • 3D modelling for simulations (ideally Rhino3D or SpaceClaim).

Skills:

Familiar with CFD packages such as ANSYS CFX, FLUENT, Star-CCM, Open Foam, or other CFD packages.

Competent in the use of DTM software packages such as IESve or TAS.

Excellent communication skills and able to convey complex building physics concepts effectively.

About You:

You will have a Master's degree or PhD in Engineering or a Science-related field and experience working within the built environment sector.

You will bring expertise and a passion for creating sustainable solutions.
