A Civils Contractor based in Preston is currently on the lookout for an experienced Quantity Surveyor (Civils) to join their team.This well-established company operates across the UK and with the overwhelming growth and demand in the market, the company plans to deliver a wide range of projects in order to expand and build on their transport, utility and building infrastructure sector portfolio.
With an impressive reputation across a variety of sectors, including software and civil engineering, this one-stop consultancy service now has a requirement for a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing construction team and be responsible for helping to manage their upcoming projects.
Your new role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager and working closely with the commercial team, you will be responsible for the cost estimating, tendering, delivery and management of a variety of projects as well as providing regular updates on the performance of on-going projects.
What you'll need to succeed :
You will be degree educated and will have at least 5+ years of experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally with a civil contractor. You will have sound knowledge of the construction industry and will have experience of the NEC and JCT forms of contract. You will have experience in both pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties, including Monitoring and Evaluation cost support for tenders and proposals.
