About the Role:
This is a key role in the delivery and development of a high-quality, proactive, and patient-centred systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) pharmacy service. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Lead Pharmacist for Oncology and Haematology, as well as other multidisciplinary team members, to ensure our patients receive the very latest treatments in oncology and haematology. In addition, you will also have the chance to deputise for the Lead Pharmacist when required, playing an integral part in the day-to-day operations of the service.

Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist (Oncology & Haematology)

Key Responsibilities:
Delivering a high-quality clinical pharmacy service for oncology and haematology patients, ensuring the safe and effective use of systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT).
Providing expert advice to multidisciplinary teams on drug interactions, side effects, and treatment protocols.
Overseeing the safe and compliant preparation and dispensing of chemotherapy and other high-risk medications in line with GMP and aseptic standards.
Deputising for the Lead Pharmacist and contributing to the management of the pharmacy team.
Supporting and mentoring junior staff and students.
Engaging in service development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.

Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist (Oncology & Haematology)

What You'll Bring:
MPharm or equivalent (essential).
Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Post-graduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent (essential).
Proven experience in delivering a clinical pharmacy service in a hospital ward setting (essential).
Previous experience working in oncology or haematology (essential).
Practical experience in an Aseptic Production Unit and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) (essential).
