What willyou be responsible for?
As a Senior Supervisor,you'll be working within the Maintenance team , supporting them ino verseeing the day-to-dayactivities undertaken by the shift supervisors andensuring the effective managementof the TfL tunnels and pump stations (TaPS) contract, liaising withtransport fleet management to ensure the availability of fleetfor all operational requirements.
Your day to day willinclude:
- Maintainingeffective planned preventative maintenance programmes inaccordance with the client specifications, good practice andregulatory compliance for all tunnels and pump station assets, overseeing shift supervisors day to day activitieschecking the effective planned coordination of works are in placefor all PPM and reactive maintenance works,supporting ongoingresource management in line with the planned coordination of works,for plant, equipment and personnel, for all activities, includingupdating the shift rota Reviewingsafe systems of work and risk assessments maintaining SHEcompliance for all Kier and SCP activities, reviewing operational team documentation deliverables confirming compliancewith KPI requirements Carrying outregular management tours of site activities checking thedelivery of the inspection regime reporting both good practices andshort falls, reviewing supply chain documentation deliverables,identifying and raising opportunities for improvement, and alsodefects, which are to be repaired under core services, liaisingwith stakeholders regarding the repair of defects within thedefects correction period, reviewing and approving supply chaintechnical proposals, planning and coordinating site works,reviewing and approving site works oncompletion
- Communicating internally andexternally including the cascading and upwards reporting ofinformation, promoting a culture of openness in the team,checking the availability of sufficient and competent resources for maintenance and operations activities within the assignedareas of responsibility, delivering the annual cyclicmaintenance programme through team managers, working closely withthe Training Coordinator facilitating the efficient deliveryof all training requirements for the TaPS team also working withthe Senor Maintenance Engineer developing the weekly workschedules, covering all planned preventative maintenance andreactive maintenance activities for distribution to the shiftsupervisors
- Providing TfL frequent updatesregarding the status of planned preventative maintenanceactivities, incident management, fault management, and ongoingreactive repairs for tunnels, outstations, and pumpstations
What are we lookingfor?
This role ofSenior Supervisor is great for youif:
- Applicable electrical / mechanical engineeringqualification, City & Guilds th Edition - WiringRegulations BS7671:2008, BTEC Level 5 - HNC Electrical andElectronic Engineering, NHSS 8 / HERS Qualified Supervisor, G39Working in the Vicinity of DNO Equipment, Safe Isolation, SSSTS(Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) and CSCS / CITB inhealth and safety, with a full driving licence to visit sites /depots
- An appropriate knowledge of electrical,mechanical, traffic management, automated monitoring / controlsystems and construction works needed to ensure the smooth runningof the tunnels
- Experience in the day-to-dayoperational procedures regarding all maintenance and temporary /reactive works at a senior supervisory level and have a provenexcellence in leadership skills of employees, the ability to workunder pressure and be capable of making on the spot decisions, butalso having good judgment skills
