Service Asset and Configuration Manager

Due to the growth of our organisation, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Service Asset and Configuration Manager to join our existing experienced team.
What do we look for in a Service Asset and Configuration Manager?
As an experienced Service Asset and Configuration Manager, you will have the passion to work with teams to implement best practices across the organisation and will have the knowledge and experience to fulfil the following requirements:
- Propose, agree and implement an Asset and Configuration Management function for the organisation, based on industry standard methodologies and tools.
- Be responsible for Asset Tracking: Monitor and manage the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement through to disposal, ensuring accurate tracking and recording of asset details in the asset management system.
- Manage the asset database/inventory to ensure accuracy, consistency and integrity of information.
- Gather and maintain essential information such as asset location, asset quantities, identifiers (e.g. serial numbers) and audit status.
- Management of the storeroom, goods in and disposal.
- Review and administer existing configuration management databases with a view to updating and creating a consistent approach across projects.
- Ensure policies and processes are up to date and current.
- Consult with bid teams on proposals with SACM requirements.
- Administer the License Management database.
- Audit/manage the Programme assets.
- The ability to coach others in the correct processes and procedures to ensure consistency across the business.
- Defence or ITIL experience in service asset or configuration management would be an advantage.
- Must hold SC but be willing to go through DV.
