Job Description

On behalf of The Ministry of Justice, we are looking for a SharePoint Developer Inside IR35 for a 6 month contract based remotely with occasional travel to London.

The role within the HMCTS Digital &Technology Services directorate our Microsoft Office 365 (MS 0365) instance, used by c25,000 judges across England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland, providing a helpdesk service to our users.

The primary purpose of the role is to deal with the migration of classic sharepoint sites to modern across a range of services used by the Judiciary and staff/stakeholders in the Royal Courts of Justice as well as work on the backlog of sharepoint site requirements.

As a SharePoint Developer your main responsibilities will be:
. Engage actively with users and stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements. This involves liaising with various departments to gather detailed requirements for SharePoint, Power Automate, and PowerApps solutions, ensuring that the developed solutions align with user expectations and business objectives.

. Manage sharepoint sites and site collections, ensuring proper configuration, permissions and availability. Assist in the administration of the wider M365 Online platform, with a focus on sharepoint online.

. Provide end-user support, training to stakeholders and internal DTS teams. Resolve medium to high complexity incident/problem tickets for sharepoint online.

. Configure sharepoint services, settings, webparts and workflows as needed

. Translate user requirements into practical, implementable solutions using the capabilities of SharePoint, Power Automate, and PowerApps.

. Ensure that all M365 solutions and project changes are thoroughly tested and are fit for purpose before being deployed to the production environment. This involves coordinating with the technical, product team and stakeholders to ensure that new solutions are ready for ongoing support and align with the existing IT infrastructure.

. Create comprehensive technical documentation for all developed solutions, adhering to the required standards. This includes maintaining accurate configuration records and ensuring that knowledge is effectively transferred to both the BAU team and end-users. This priority is crucial for sustaining the long term usability and maintainability of M365 solutions.

. Implement, manage and maintain sharepoint security, including user authentication, permissions and access control. Implementing best practices for security within the M365 environment. This includes regular security assessments of SharePoint, Power Automate, and PowerApps solutions, ensuring that they are secure against potential threats and vulnerabilities.

Essential:
. Developing, managing and configuration of sharepoint sites.

. Proven experience as a SharePoint/M365 Administrator, with a strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, configuration, and customer processes

. Knowledge of SharePoint and M365 security models, permissions, and user authentication methods.

. Experience with SharePoint migration, upgrades, and patch management

. Familiarity with third-party SharePoint tools and applications

. PowerApps/PowerShell experience

. ITILv3 (or above) certification

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks
