Job Description

Are you an experienced Operational Team Leader seeking your next career move? Ready to take on an exciting new challenge?

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Shift Manager to join us at our Equipment Management operation in Burton Latimer, supporting our customer, Morrisons. This is a fast paced, busy operation handling all returned products and equipment from their stores. It's all about recycling and reuse!

This is a full time, permanent position, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern of 06:00 to 18:00.

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £30,999.96 per annum. and 22 days annual leave (including bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Oversee the running of the recycling operation
  • Ensure that the site is utilising resource effectively, monitoring headcount, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
  • Promote and develop a health and safety culture on site in line with the company's policies
  • Get involved with performance management, KPI monitoring and drive continuous improvement initiatives

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • A warehouse operational management background
  • An excellent understanding of health and safety policies and procedures
  • Experience of leading teams, providing guidance, coaching, mentoring, andcreating development plans
  • The ability to communicate effectively in both a written and verbal capacity
