Site manager job for industrial project - 12 month fixed term contract

You will be working for a principal contractor on their industrial project based near Thetford. The project consists of an extension to a live plant environment and is a 9-12 month fixed term contract.
Your new role
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Site Manager with a strong background in industrial construction. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise all on-site activities, including subcontractors and trades.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
• Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports.
• Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts promptly.
• Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
• Manage site logistics, including materials and equipment.
• Conduct site meetings and briefings.

What you'll need to succeed

Experience in site management, specifically in industrial construction.

Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
