THE OPPORTUNITY
SII are seeking an experienced and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic team working on cutting-edge space programmes. This role will involve developing, testing, and validating software solutions for space applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop, review, and maintain Software Requirements Specifications (SRS).
2. Execute Requirements-Based Validation (RB Validation) to ensure software meets requirements.
3. Address Non-Sufficient Verification Failures (NSVF) and improve verification processes.
4. Create UML diagrams for system design and documentation.
5. Write and maintain software code in languages like C++, Java, or Python.
6. Develop and execute unit tests to validate software components.
7. Conduct Technical Specification Validation (TS Validation) to ensure adherence to technical standards.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration.
9. Maintain detailed documentation for designs, tests, and validations.
10. Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., DO-178C, ECSS).

SKILLS REQUIRED:

1. Expertise in SRS, RB Validation, and NSVF management.
2. Proficiency in UML modeling for system design.
3. Strong coding skills in C++, Java, Python.
4. Experience in unit testing and TS Validation.
5. Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills.
6. Attention to detail and commitment to software quality.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1. Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in aerospace or space projects.
3. Hands-on experience with SRS, RB Validation, and NSVF management.
4. Proficient in coding (C++, Java, Python) and UML modelling.
5. Experience with unit testing, TS Validation, and space industry standards (e.g., DO-178C, ECSS).
6. Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
