About The Role:

This role is responsible for shaping the technical direction and ensuring the successful delivery of software projects. The role requires a balance between leadership, technical expertise, and team management. You will lead a team of engineers, foster an inclusive and high-performance culture, and work closely with stakeholders to align development goals with business objectives. Key areas of focus include software development best practices, cloud-based architecture, agile methodologies, and mentoring team members to drive innovation and quality across all projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Strategy & Delivery Management

  • Enforce software development best practices to ensure high quality at every stage of the process.
  • Manage the successful delivery of projects, balancing time, cost, and quality.
  • Advocate for agile methodologies and DevOps principles to streamline workflows.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and assess their potential to improve the platform and drive business growth.
  • Guide and mentor engineers, helping them resolve blockers and motivating them to achieve success.

Team Management

  • Cultivate an inclusive, high-performance engineering culture within the team.
  • Set performance goals for team members, conduct regular one-on-one meetings, and provide feedback on progress.

Leadership & Mentorship

  • Lead technical discussions, offering guidance on technical decisions and architecture while ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Coach and mentor engineers, fostering a collaborative environment to help them develop their technical skills and advance in their careers.
  • Work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to influence roadmaps, strategy, and overall performance.
Desired Experience:
  • Proven experience managing high-performing engineering teams.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing technically complex software solutions.
  • Expert-level proficiency in C# and .NET.
  • Extensive experience in designing and developing APIs optimized for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Advanced expertise in cloud-based software development (MS Azure preferred), with a focus on microservices and serverless architecture.
  • Strong experience in DevOps/DevSecOps environments (Azure DevOps preferred), including CI/CD, observability, automation, and security.
  • In-depth knowledge of NoSQL databases (CosmosDB preferred).
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript and ReactJS.
  • Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams with product managers, designers, and end-users.
  • Strong leadership in technical discussions and ownership of technical direction within areas of expertise.
  • A product-focused mindset, prioritizing valuable, user-centric solutions that align with business goals.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Desired Skills & Attributes:
  • Experience in defining and establishing software design standards and principles.
  • Familiarity with designing and implementing complex data models.
  • Experience in SaaS-based operating environments.
  • Microsoft certifications such as Azure Developer, CosmosDB Developer, DevOps Engineer, or Solutions Architect.
