Electrical engineer 8+ years and ready for your next step?

We are looking for engineers who have worked for at least 10 years and are ready for the next step. Within our team the focus is on the realization of prefabricated modular substations for the international data center industry.

We are a fast growing department with a diverse team consisting of engineers with backgrounds from all over the world. As a junior/intermediate engineer you will work with a lead engineer on the technical design, factory testing and commissioning. The emphasis is on hardware engineering, but sometimes includes software issues.

You have a general knowledge of LV, MV, Trafo and the construction procedures. In your current job you are used to talking to high demanding clients and now you are ready to pursue a career in modular substation.

Day to day tasks:

o Leading a team of minimum 2 engineers,

o Liase with customer, factories, and other Siemens departments,

o Engineering work in the office/home such as: verify electrical distribution systems design and coordinating interfaces with our customers.

o Picking up technical issues (investigate & advise on layouts, components, cabling selection, termination kits, earthing & grounding, etc);

o Writing assembly and commissioning plans;

o (FAT/FWT) Lead test work on site and in our factories.

o Plan and oversee the progress of factory operations and resolve technical remaining issues;

o Place orders and learn to estimate commercial impact for additional work performed;

o Collaborate with an experienced lead engineer

What do you need to be considered for this position?-

o Completed Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent; (10+ years of experience)-

o Flexible working attitude, practical and results-oriented;-

o Communicative, committed, stress resistant and able to act within a dynamic environment;-

o Willing to do short work on location at home and abroad (15% on location);-

o Knowledge of the English (Verbal and written) and Dutch language (Beneficial) - In possession of EU passport. Candidates with non-EU passport will be considered;

o Driving license is mandatory,

o Working week of 40 hours;- In consultation 50% working from home is possible.
