JobTitle: Specialist/Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist

Location: Waterloo Lodge School, Chorley and Oakfield House School,Preston

Salary: Up to £53,200 (pro rata, dependent onexperience)

Hours: 4 days(30 hours per week) 8:30am -4:30pm - (3 days at Waterloo Lodge and1 day at Oakfield House School.)

Contract: Permanent, Term Time only. (41 weeks) - There may be scopefor this role to be a full-time contract (52 weeks) if this is yourpreference, please get in touch to discuss.)

Essential: Full UKDriving Licence and access to own vehiclerequired

We'relooking for an experienced Specialist / Highly SpecialistOccupational Therapist to join our expanding team. Holdingresponsibility within specialist services, you will contribute tobespoke assessment and intervention plans for the people wesupport.

We're looking fora Specialist / Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist to join usat Outcomes First Group.

The post holder willprogress the OT specific therapeutic services where the needs ofindividuals vary in levels of functioning, many with a diagnosis ofautism as well as associated needs such as complex anddevelopmental trauma. Needs are complex and require a systemic andformulation-based approach.

You will be a partof a multi-disciplinary, well-being and therapeutic services teamwhich is required to meet the needs of the vulnerable people withinour services. The team includes Speech and Language Therapists,Psychotherapists, Occupational Therapists and other appropriateprofessionals and services. Someone with a holistic and integratedapproach to care, education and clinical services would be perfectfor this role.

Who are we looking for? We arelooking for a practitioner who has a clear vision of whatoutstanding therapeutic services look like. You would need todemonstrate drive, motivation, resilience and the ability to workwith multi-disciplinary teams.

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant Occupational Therapyqualification

  • Registeredwith the HCPC

  • SensoryIntegration training, preferably a minimum of level3

  • Experience in managingmulti-disciplinary teams

  • Experience of working with adults and/orchildren who have an intellectual disability and/or autismwith additional needs (e.g. complex trauma, mental health needs,behaviours of concern)

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range ofkey partners

  • Able to worksensitively with people and resolve conflicteffectively

  • Evidence ofcontinuing professional development relevant to thesetting

  • Substantial andrelevant post-qualification experience withadults

  • Experience oflecturing/teaching/training

  • Full valid UK driving licence and access to ownvehicle

  • Skills in themanagement of data are also important as the role includescollecting and analysing data to inform various pieces of servicedelivery, development and project work
