Job Description
Permanent Teacher of Science position
Hays Education are working in partnership with an Ofsted 'Good' secondary school based just outside Derby. Due to the appointment of the new Curriculum Lead from their science department, it has meant a subsequent restructure of the team. This means the science department are excited to be expanding and are now looking for a Teacher of Science to join their team. To be successful, you will have recent experience teaching all sciences to KS3 and KS4. ECTs are welcome to apply.

Job description:
- Delivering engaging and creative science lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
- Contributing to the development of the department's curriculum.
- Participating in extracurricular activities such as sports clubs and school trips.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's welcome to apply.
- Bachelor's degree in science or a related field.
- Recent experience teaching Science at secondary school level.
- Strong behaviour/classroom management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
