Your Tasks
- With your expertise and innovative ideas, you develop and market creative solutions for transformative ("event") financings, such as acquisition financings, pre- or post-IPO financings, or major refinancings. In doing so, you work closely with our M&A and sector teams, supporting the strategic dialogue with our clients.
- Thanks to your analysis of relevant client and sector information, you are always well-informed to create and coordinate pitch books for event financings, debt advisory mandates, and multi-product solutions (e.g., bonds, loans, equity and hedging solutions, M&A topics). Situations range from investment grade to high-yield and corporate as well as highly structured / project financing solutions.
- You actively contribute to debt advisory mandates and take full responsibility for specific workstreams.
- Your technical input is also essential when developing complex financial models, and you provide guidance and support to junior colleagues on model- related questions and tasks.
- You win new mandates through convincing client presentations and ensure smooth collaboration between our team and other areas within Wholesale Banking such as M&A, Global Capital Markets, Loan Syndicate, Transaction Management and Legal.
- Last but not least, you are also involved in preparing and coordinating internal approval documents, supporting the development and coaching of employees within and beyond the D&CA team, and are (co-)responsible for achieving your team's annual P&L budget.
Your Profile
- Above-average Master's degree in finance, economics or business administration or a comparable degree programme
- Several years of relevant professional experience (including project management) and a proven track record of outstanding performance in a transaction-based environment
- In-depth knowledge of markets and products, particularly in the areas of M&A, debt / loan capital markets as well as equity capital markets
- Ability to work on various projects in parallel, thanks to your excellent analytical skills as well as strong planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Team player with good judgement, a proactive approach, enthusiasm, and self-motivation
- Fluency in both German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
