Workout and Legal Expert

Responsibilities:

• Handle workout cases, including contract negotiations, and advise colleagues in legal matters on workout and other special situations.
• Advise and support colleagues on other legal or regulatory questions, including legal or insurance due diligence related matters, including risks and possible mitigations for red flag issues.
• Review financing documentation to confirm it is in line with credit approvals.
• Perform condition precedent checks.
• Review documents such as NDAs and advise where there are deviations from standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Law, ideally with additional business/economics training.
• Hands-on experience of handling workout cases, including analysis, proposing solutions, and contract negotiations.
• Knowledge of and experience with English Law contracts.
• Proficient in English, and able to review documents in German.
• Ideally, a background in Project Finance, Leveraged Buy Outs, or other structured transactions.
• Experience with regulations, especially concerning underperforming exposures.
• Committed team player who can work diligently even when deadlines are short.
