A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Solution Architect to join Computacenter's dynamic and rapidly expanding Workplace Consultancy Practice. What you'll do

1. Attend customer opportunity / strategy meetings to understand and articulate business and technical strategy for the company and customer.
2. Qualification of designs or opportunities, producing high-level architecture/design documentation.
3. Work closely with Vendors / Partners to keep up to date with current and future technologies, products and strategies.
4. Act as a Design Authority for nominated key accounts.
5. Act as Technical Authority and lead for complex, enterprise-scale, mission-critical customer projects, throughout the Pre-sales lifecycle into the Planning and Initiation stages of delivery.
6. Support colleagues in our Group Strategy & Portfolio function.
7. Perform technical governance and assurance across proposed solutions and post-sales consultancy engagements ensuring they meet the documented customer requirements and desired outcomes.

What you'll need

1. Robust IT infrastructure foundation, supplemented by extensive experience and pertinent certifications from leading IT manufacturers and software vendors.
2. Track record of leading large technical teams in the Pre-sales and execution phases.
3. Experience in collaborating with Senior IT Management and executives at the C-level.
4. Capability to lead and own the entire customer engagement process, starting with the preliminary interaction to the successful completion of the project.
5. Experience with Contractual Service is essential, particularly during Pre-sales activities, along with a well-rounded understanding of how solution designs can influence ongoing business operations.
6. Knowledge of Microsoft client and server infrastructure as well as Cloud architecture.
7. Experience with Microsoft 365 suite including architecture, interconnectivity, and implementation.
8. Knowledge of Workplace solutions such as Desktop and Application Virtualisation, Collaboration services, Modern Management, and Identity & Access Management.
9. Certifications in Microsoft solution areas such as MS365, Azure, IDAM and Security would be an advantage.
