Borough Clinical Effectiveness Lead - Harrow

The North West London Borough Clinical Leads for Clinical Effectiveness have a critical role within the Integrated Care System. The post holder will lead a systematic evidence-based approach to quality improvement within a NWL borough, to help improve health outcomes for local residents. They will work in close partnership with the NWL Clinical Lead for Clinical Effectiveness and with NWL and borough-based partnerships, supporting wider NWL transformation. Building on successful models already established in North West London boroughs and elsewhere, the programme will bring population health management and learning together, to form the basis for personal, organisational and system development, and continuous improvement in outcomes. This role requires strong, strategic leadership skills, critical reasoning, and numeracy, with the experience of stewardship of significant public funds, good governance and delivering impactful public outcomes.

Person Specification Qualifications/Training- Practising primary care clinician in North West London.
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
- If an applicant is non-UK trained, they will be required to show evidence of UK approved training.
- Relevant clinical experience in primary care and leadership.
- Experience of building productive and collaborative working relationships with stakeholders.
- Demonstrable track record of delivery in service and education.
- Ability to foster quality improvement within clinical practice.
- Experience of project work focusing on benefits realisation and transformational change.
- Experience in liaising with NHS trusts, community organisations, medical schools, and other partners.
- Experience of clinical and educational leadership, including managing a multi-professional team.
- Trained and experienced in recruitment, selection, and Equality and Diversity in the last 3 years.
- Experience of leading clinical recruitment campaigns.
- Awareness and understanding of the healthcare landscape in North West London.
- Good professional relationships at place level and knowledge of the local borough.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
- Demonstrable leadership skills and an ability to influence and motivate others.
- Judgement: ability to understand and interpret clinical decisions and make informed judgements concerning clinical priorities.
