Building Safety Manager

We have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Asset Management and Improvement team as a Building Safety Manager.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to play a key role in shaping and implementing our council's strategies for Building, Structural & Fire Safety across all High-Rise Buildings.

As Building Safety Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the Building Safety Work streams on blocks assigned to you, and related projects including project planning, preparing project briefs and assisting with the management of the Building Safety programme. You will assist with the implementation of the council's Building Safety strategy ensuring buildings and services meet the needs of the people that live & work in them.

We are looking for candidates with the following abilities:

• Able to undertake Building Risk Assessments, Fire Risk Assessments and acquire/collate all relevant "Golden Thread" information and the safety case report that comply with the requirements of The Building Safety Act 22.
• Able to be a technical authority on all aspects of building safety to support the wider business.
• Able to manage a program of audits and inspections ensuring safety case is always current based on review dates.
• Residential (HRB) Building Management experience.

Qualification Requirements for this role

• Fire Risk Management BTech level 3 minimum.
• Building Surveying BTech Level 3 or equivalent.
• CIOB level 6 diploma in Building safety or similar.
• Current Knowledge of and Experience working with the Building Safety Act and all secondary legislation that has followed.

Hours

37 hours per week. This role is Hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days per week in-office attendance required.
