About the role
We have a newly created role as Business Development Manager, based in the South East, in the Home Delivery team. We are looking for someone who is adaptable, self-driven, and embraces change to help deliver our business strategy.

As a Business Development Manager, you would report directly to the Head of Home Delivery and work alongside a team of BDM's. Your role is crucial in delivering the company's objectives through the engagement and delivery of the Home Delivery Plan.

You will be responsible for:

  • Identify, recruit and onboard new partner convenience stores.
  • Achievement of set KPI's.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the rapid grocery sector.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of GDPR legislation and compliance.
  • Develop and execute sales plans to increase order volume and revenue.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing partners.
  • Monitor and analyse partner performance metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies.
  • Gather feedback from our retailers to identify areas for improvement.
  • Working collaboratively with your BDM colleagues.

You will need:

Operational skills relevant for this job:

  • Successful career to date with a core skill set around influencing customers.
  • Exceptional relationship building capability.
  • Commercial understanding.
  • Effectiveness in a remote field-based role.
  • Ability to challenge, develop and embed change.
  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft 365.
  • Experience across Data & Digital Analytics & Digital Marketing.
  • Experience in retail technology hardware & software sales.
  • Ability to support retailers with technical and system issues.
