We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Ophthalmologist to join our new Birmingham Hospital! Bring your expertise and skills in ophthalmic procedures and join our multi-disciplined medical team. We are a forward-looking surgical centre and as such are embracing modern concepts including the use of virtual clinics and high-volume cataract surgery.

Everything Practice Plus does is focused on providing a high standard of safe and effective patient care. Our facilities will be modern, employing the latest state of the art diagnostic and surgical technology with friendly and professional staff. We have strong control processes and clinical governance to ensure we maintain high standards of hygiene, and above all, we're passionate about giving our patients the best possible care and helping them feel better, faster.

What you'll be doing

As a highly valued member of the team, you will have access to great facilities in a well-structured and relaxed environment. As part of our professional, friendly and compassionate team, you will do everything you can to ensure the patient's treatment is of the highest standard by performing a range of ophthalmology procedures on patients referred to the service.

What we'll look for in you

You will be a UK registered medical professional, who is:

  • listed on the Specialist GMC register
  • with experience in:
    • high volume phacoemulsification under topical anaesthesia
    • Oculoplastic (desirable)
    • Medical Retina (desirable)
