Job Description
Graduate Asset Manager/ Transaction Surveyor for a large charity!

Your new role
To be responsible for the end-to-end management of transactions of both commercial and residential assets and supporting the Asset Managers in portfolio optimisation and management. Reporting to a Senior Asset Manager, but with accountability to an Estates Surveyor, you have previous experience of managing transactions either in a client-side or consultancy role.
You will be working on bringing forward disposal programmes of surplus assets and acquiring assets for the delivery of the Salvation Army mission and supporting the Asset Managers in managing the portfolio to ensure it is fit for purpose.
As a client-side transactions surveyor with dual reporting lines to Senior Asset Manager and Estates Manager, managing external consultants where needed, you will be working as part of a team where you will be supported to develop your professional skills and experience, as well as your own personal development through training opportunities offered through the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed
A qualification at degree level and ideally membership of or working towards an appropriate professional organisation such as the RICS
Widespread transactional experience across a variety of asset classes
Good understanding of Landlord and Tenant legislation
Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to communicate well at all levels both within and outside of property
The ability to handle large and varied workloads; customer-facing skills; excellent reporting skills, including experience and understanding of the use of databases for property management purposes
Ability to make effective decisions, collaborate and partner with colleagues across the organisation
A current driving licence will be essential.
