Your new company

You will be joining an industry leader in the tech and media sector. The company has just launched a new platform that is set to transform how businesses tackle employment tax status assessment for their contractors. They are currently on an exciting journey with the aim of redefining what's possible in contractor compliance.


Your new role

We're looking for a dynamic and strategic Head of Marketing to be our first marketing hire, specialising in direct marketing. This is more than just a job-it's an opportunity to build a world-class marketing function from the ground up. You'll have the autonomy to craft and execute a comprehensive direct marketing strategy, driving customer acquisition and engagement across multiple channels. If you're excited about making your mark in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, this role is for you.


What you'll need to succeed

  1. Ideally, you will have 5+ years of experience in direct marketing, with a proven track record of driving customer acquisition and retention for scale-up/start-up companies.
  2. You need to possess strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and grow a marketing team from scratch.
  3. Be a strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture while executing detailed plans.

Experience below will be highly advantageous:

  1. Strategy Development: Create and implement a bold direct marketing strategy that aligns with our business goals and drives growth.
  2. Campaign Management: Design and oversee end-to-end direct marketing campaigns, leveraging data-driven insights to optimise performance.
  3. Customer Segmentation: Utilise advanced segmentation techniques to target the right customers with personalised, compelling messaging.
  4. Channel Optimisation: Identify and maximise the potential of direct marketing channels, including email, direct mail, SMS, and more.
  5. Market Reporting and Competitor Analysis
  6. Team Building: As the first marketing hire, you'll have the opportunity to build and lead a high-performing marketing team as the company scales.
  7. Performance Tracking: Establish key metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and report on ROI to senior leadership.
