Job Description

The BD Consultancy is a small, friendly agency in Bristol specialising in marketing and business development services for professional services firms. We are looking for a dynamic and creative Marketing Executive (with a strong focus on digital) to join our team and drive our clients' marketing efforts to the next level.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the world's leading firms, across a wide range of our b2b clients. Being in a smaller business means that your ideas can be heard and implemented more quickly, and you'll make a real difference.

Our business is based on people - not only do our clients say they choose to work with us because of our personable style and culture, and we are committed to having a positive work/life balance with a flexible approach. Our great benefits package and holiday allowance to support that, but don't just take our word for it - see our 5 reviews on Glassdoor.

As a Marketing Executive, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing marketing strategies for our clients (who are primarily in the professional services sector). You'll work closely with the rest of the team to create compelling campaigns that align with our clients' objectives, with a focus on digital marketing. The role offers flexibility and is best suited to bright, driven individuals with a keen attention to detail and who are eager to make a significant impact within a small team.

  • Digital Marketing Strategy & Implementation:
    • Develop, implement, and manage digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including SEO, social media, email marketing, and content marketing for multiple clients - and internally for The BD Consultancy.
    • Collaborate with the wider team to align marketing strategies with clients' business goals and objectives.

    • Manage clients' social media profiles and presence, predominantly on LinkedIn but also X, Facebook, Instagram and other relevant channels.
    • Monitor and respond to online reviews and feedback for clients, ensuring effective management of their online reputation.
    • Update clients' websites using a range of content management systems (CMS), including WordPress.
  • Analysis, Reporting & Optimisation:
    • Analyse and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends and insights, adjusting marketing strategies accordingly.
    • Manage and update data using the company (and client's) CRM system to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Team & Project Support:
    • Help produce visually appealing and effective marketing materials for clients.
    • Create engaging copy and support team initiatives by offering creative suggestions for campaign improvement and progression.
    • Handle multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, communication and high client satisfaction. Monitor various channels for tasks and updates (e.g., Teams, Slack).
    • Keep up to date with the latest digital marketing tools and trends.
    • Supporting internal marketing efforts, including podcast production and regular email communications.
    • Ensure client sign off and communication is effectively managed at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree ideally in Marketing or Business.
