Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Freelance Planner to join our client for a water treatment project based in Birmingham. This is a contract role for 12-18 months, with an immediate start. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or issues, proposing solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and updates for the project team and clients.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Utilise project management software and tools to track and report on project status.
  • Primarily a site-based role, requiring regular presence at the project location.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Planner in MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) or Civils projects.
  • Previous experience in water treatment projects is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
