Job Description
Principal Consultant - BD. Marketing & Communications - Professional Services (non-legal)

I am delighted to be working with one of my commercial real estate clients who have a brand new requirement for a PR Manager to join them. This is a very exciting new role with a rapidly growing firm. They need an experienced PR Manager to develop and execute engaging communications activities externally, build the brand, and support the firm's strategic goals.

The ideal candidate should have previous experience working in a professional services firm, ideally within real estate, construction, built environment space. You should have experience working with partners, managing those relationships effectively, and have expertise in multi-channel communications.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with senior leadership, the Head of Brand & Comms, and an external communications agency to develop and implement a comprehensive external communications strategy aligned with business goals.
  2. Execute communications activities across all external channels to boost brand visibility and reputation.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with media stakeholders to ensure consistent, accurate coverage of the company, its projects, and campaigns.
  4. Work with senior leadership to transform insights into compelling narratives that position the company as an industry expert.
  5. Serve as a spokesperson when needed, supporting interviews, media engagements, and crisis communications.
  6. Develop and implement communications plans for key campaigns and priority sectors, in partnership with the Marketing Solutions team and external communications agency.
  7. Promote news and project successes to elevate the company's profile among target audiences.
  8. Create impactful content, including press releases, blogs, thought leadership pieces, and social media posts, ensuring message consistency and alignment with business priorities.
  9. Collaborate with the Brand & Comms and Marketing Solutions teams to produce visually engaging digital assets, such as infographics, interactive reports, and videos.
  10. Lead the monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of media coverage.

Skills and Experience

  1. Exceptional written communication, copywriting, and editing skills.
  2. Proven experience in external communications within a matrixed or professional services environment.
  3. Familiarity with the built environment is a plus but not required.
  4. Experience working with senior leadership on sensitive and confidential matters.
  5. Expertise in multichannel communications, including traditional, digital, and social media.
  6. Awareness of current affairs and industry trends.
  7. Experience in developing and managing communications plans for key projects and initiatives.
  8. Strong track record of building relationships with key journalists.
  9. Ability to multitask and prioritize work to meet tight deadlines.
  10. Collaborative approach to working with colleagues to achieve the best outcomes.
  11. Proficiency in using digital platforms for engagement, reach, and analysis.
