AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
We are looking for a skilled, self-motivated technical leader to join a team of supportive, experienced professionals. As a Principal Solutions Architect in the Public Sector team, you get to impact the lives of millions of citizens and help a variety of different customers - all the way from digital-native and government-linked companies to security-focused government agencies. Overall, the customers we work with include government agencies, state-owned companies, educational institutions, healthcare and non-profit organizations.
Our Public Sector teams help customers build a deeper understanding of hyper-scale cloud technology and application architectures, and they have the consultative skills required to drive successful outcomes.
Principal Solutions Architects work on the most complex customer challenges and opportunities. You will have a leading role in developing both the strategy and the team itself. You combine an informed view of the market with your understanding of emerging technology trends to speed-up innovation across their customer segment. Externally, you are a recognized thought leaders and influence the strategy of our customers. Internally, you earn a reputation of role models and deliver bar-raising guidance to the broader Solutions Architecture team.
You will participate in the creation and sharing of recommended practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelize and educate about AWS technology (e.g. through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences).

• The right person will be highly technical and analytical, possess significant experience of software development and/or IT and networking implementation as well security and compliance
• Strong knowledge of application architecture, software development, server, networking, security
• Presentation and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences
• Swedish fluent
• Understanding of and government certifications and compliances.
• Working knowledge of modern software development practices and technologies such as agile methodologies and DevOps is highly desired.
• Experience in writing, publishing technical whitepapers, and evangelizing.
• experience with the adoption of .NET applications in the cloud, offering guidance on best practices, scalability, and security.
• Bachelor's degree, certifications, or similar experiences desired.
• Experience from National Security and/or Defence is a merit.
