Job Description

Who we're looking for
As a result of our pace of growth over the last five years, Schroders Capital's Private Debt & Credit Alternatives (PDCA) business is hiring a Junior Product Lifecycle Executive to support the continued growth of its business.

The Junior Product Lifecycle Executive will be responsible for supporting all product related initiatives across our PDCA Product and Solutions teams.

The role will involve acting as a strong foundational resource for the PDCA product life cycle & business management function and an effective link between the Investment and Sales functions. The role will support all the PDCA products, internally and externally.

The team
Schroders Capital is the Private assets platform for the Schroders group with over $97bn AUM. The platform incorporates Private Equity, Real estate, Infrastructure Equity and Private Debt & Credit Alternatives. Schroders Capital has ambitious growth plans for its PDCA business and the expansion of its real assets & private credit capabilities is one of the key Strategic goals of the group.

What you'll do

  1. Product Maintenance and Changes: Track and maintain the product offering, including the product pipeline and pricing database. Regularly review existing products to ensure they remain relevant and competitive, handling updates, modifications, or enhancements based on client feedback and market changes such as new share classes, client transfers, and labelling requirements;
  2. End-of-Life Coordination: Manage the winding down of products, including side pockets, when necessary. Coordinate stakeholder actions to ensure a smooth transition;
  3. Coordination: Work closely with various internal teams to ensure that all aspects of product management are aligned and efficiently executed. Support internal governance processes;
  4. Communication: Provide insights and updates to PDCA to keep them informed about product developments and regulatory changes that might impact the business;
  5. Databases: Responsible for keeping bespoke PDCA databases current through close coordination of inputs with other PDCA product functions and internal stakeholders;
  6. Support Product Engagement in inputting and/or reviewing RFP answers;
  7. Support Product Strategy and Structuring in identifying client needs and working with functions to identify solutions, including new share classes and feeders;
  8. Support Legal by reviewing relevant legal agreements to ensure they capture client needs and discussions;
  9. Engage with PDCA middle office & Operations on the ability to service the needs of the investment team and clients. Operations to input into lifecycle events such as liquidations.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help

  1. Bachelor degree required (CFA or advanced degree a plus);
  2. 3-5 years of work experience in investment banking/capital markets, placement agent, investor relations, financial accounting, management consulting or investment consulting;
  3. A good understanding of fixed income, credit alternatives and/or private credit markets and their product offerings is strongly preferred;
  4. Highly organized, pursuing a structured approach to deliverables with strong project management skills;
  5. Highly developed verbal, written and presentation communication skills. Strong content creation skills (high level of proficiency in MS PowerPoint) and strong technical/ numerical skills (high level of proficiency in MS Excel);
  6. Strong networking skills and proactive approach to working with colleagues across the business, but equally adept at working autonomously.
