Job Description

Skanska, one of the world's leading project development and construction groups, is an inclusive and responsible business that is helping to build a better society. We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Building team in London on the 105 Victoria Street project.

What you'll do:

  1. Develop and manage the projects temporary works schedule.
  2. Oversee the management of the site's activities e.g. temporary works, structural packages, pre-cast installation, ensuring design compliance, RAMS, installation, inspections, and loading and unloading.
  3. Ensure main dimensional control is established and maintained.
  4. Develop a good working relationship with the client's team, consultants, sub-contractors, and external parties to ensure the successful execution of all project-specific engineering matters.
  5. Ensure all project specifications, quality requirements (including on-site inspections and checks), and industry good practices are followed throughout the project.
  6. Provide support and assist in the career development of the engineering team.
  7. Offer guidance and opportunities to assist those working towards a professional qualification.
  8. Report all site operations to the senior project management.
  9. Attend design and progress meetings.
  10. Take a proactive role in the development of Engineering best practices as required at an OU and BU level.
  11. Support in planning and progress monitoring of on-site works.
  12. Ensure high standards of health and safety are maintained at all times on site with a proactive approach.

What you'll bring to the role:

  1. Chartered Engineer status (e.g. MICE/ MIstructE).
  2. Minimum BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering.
  3. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience on projects of equivalent complexity.
  4. Management of health & safety.
  5. Functional technical skills.
  6. Priority setting.
  7. Personal learning.
  8. Organizing and managing work.
  9. Problem solving.
